Edmonton, Alberta, December 1, 2010 – Rohit Group of Companies hosted the event of the quarter century Thursday, November 25th to celebrate the success of the organization over the past 25 years.  The extensive guest list included industry partners, vendors, suppliers, trades, city officials such as Mayor Stephen Mandel, several city counselors and all Rohit home owners.

With more than 1000 people in attendance the splendid affair was a marvel of Vegas style dress, music and festive champagne.  Guests were informed of a secret show and not much else. Ballot stations were scattered throughout with entries to the win a trip to the fabulous Las Vegas and a stay at the newest addition to Rohit Communities, Copper Point Resort in Invermere. For added entertainment, a nostalgic photo booth, complete with props, captured hilarious impromptu memories for guests and Elvis was spotted in the building that night, twice.

The show began with a video featuring what Rohit Group of Companies has been able to accomplish through the Charities division and the power that brings positive benefits into our communities through every customer and partnership.  Visit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJU64hEJaCM to watch!  The performance, a journey each time the lights dimmed, showcased a cirque du soliel theme courtesy of Dream World Cirque. Ending with a Bollywood dance number, a special guest filled the stage with her convincing voice singing Celine Dion’s greatest hits. As an unexpected finale Radhe Gupta, the founder and President of Rohit Group of Companies, was escorted on stage and celebrated his 65th birthday. As the show ended and the crowd was released they were greeted by a large array of decadent catered desserts.

As no event would be whole without the charity component, the Seniors Association of Greater Edmonton (SAGE) was selected as the organization to receive all of the donations generated by the event.  SAGE is a is a full service not-for-profit seniors’ organization whose mandate is to build and maintain a broad range of programs and services that enhance the quality of life for seniors and their families in the greater Edmonton area. With champagne donation stations and collector vases at every booth, an incredible $14,000 was raised and matched by Rohit for a grand total of $28,000.

A spectacular occasion of glamour and glitz will truly resonate with those that attended and those that were helped. Rohit Group of Companies is looking forward to another 25 rewarding years.

Last week, Canadian Home Builders’ Association (CHBA) British Columbia Region, announced their 2010 finalists for the Georgie Awards. These provincial awards recognize the best of the best in residential home construction, renovation, design, development as well as sales and marketing.
