May 4, 2013, Edmonton, Alberta—Rohit Land Development held a showhome grand opening event for its premier community Heritage at Parsons Creek in Fort McMurray on Saturday, May 4. The event was held from noon to 5pm and featured seven showhomes by five builders—Cressman Homes, Qualico Developments, Rohit Communities, R-Star Developments, and Winchester Builders. Each home was also equipped with carnival-inspired treats and entertainment, including a magician, balloon artist, face painter, caricature artist, photo booth and games.

“Events like these, while common in other markets like Edmonton and Calgary, are really unprecedented in Fort McMurray. Besides adding an element of fun to the house-hunting experience, community showhome grand openings allow buyers to see many homes in one day, which reduces the amount of time and energy one has to invest in the process,” said Amy Power, Marketing Manager for Rohit Group of Companies.

Guests received maps with all showhomes labeled and collected a sticker for each showhome they visited. Prizes were then drawn for those attendees who visited all the showhomes. The grand prize was a Coleman barbeque grill, and other prizes included a $100 Mastercard, a $50 gift card to Starbucks and a $50 gift card to Boston Pizza.

Though the Heritage at Parsons Creek Showhome Grand Opening Event is over, interested buyers can still visit the development and the seven beautiful showhomes now open.

February 20, 2013, Edmonton, Alberta –Rohit Group of Companies hosted an appreciation event to honour its customers, suppliers, trades and business partners at the Keyano Theatre in Fort McMurray on Wednesday, February 20, 2013. With 15 years in business in Fort McMurray, Rohit wanted to celebrate its successes as a new home builder  and community developer by hosting a private viewing of Hometown the Musical, a locally written and produced theatrical musical.

The show featured over 100 cast members straight from the community of Fort McMurray, including Wood Buffalo Regional Councillor Russell Thomas and even the Mayor herself, Melissa Blake. To date, it is Keyano Theatre’s largest production, and it is set in the future, involving five storylines intertwined and centred around the 2014 opening of the international airport. The story celebrates Wood Buffalo: its past, present and bright future.

February 12, 2013, Edmonton, Alberta – A breathtaking venue and dazzling piano show welcomed guests to Rohit Group of Companies’ appreciation event at the Enjoy Centre in St. Albert on Thursday February 7, 2013. With almost 30 years in business, Rohit wanted to celebrate its successes as a new home builder and community developer by inviting customers, suppliers, trades and business partners to an evening of dueling pianos and New Orleans inspired treats. Playing steady show stopping tunes and plenty of mingling the event saw over six hundred guests, many of which can be found in their photo booth pictures posted on Facebook!

As Rohit prides itself on giving back to the communities in which they work, one of the honoured guests was Homeward Trust Edmonton. A local not for profit organization that uses a community-based approach towards the goal of ending homelessness in Edmonton, they raised money for Raise the Roof by selling toques and taking donations. The event raised $2,139 dollars with Rohit matching every dollar to generate a total of $4,278! The support provides a wonderful opportunity for a worthy cause that will truly provide many opportunities for Edmontonians.

As the Gupta family addressed the audience and expressed their gratitude, Councillor Amarajeet Sohi surprisingly took the stage to award Krishna Gupta, co-founder and philanthropist, the prestigious Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. The medal is granted to Canadians that show extraordinary contributions and achievements to the community. From her ongoing support of the Mental Health Foundation and climbing Mount Kilimanjaro for the Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation she has made impactful strides for several humanitarian causes.

October 9, 2012 – Starling at Big Lake, a new community in Northwest Edmonton, unveiled its 6 new show homes at one of the most successful grand openings to date for Rohit Land Development. A unique farmer’s market theme sectioned off the street so patrons could stroll the pedestrian friendly scene to enjoy free food, local shopping and fall inspired family photos.
